Published at 2023-10-17

We recently featured a few fall fairs and festivals in our September/October newsletter and wanted to share the fall fun with our blog readers! Some of the fall events ended in September, so we’ve expanded the list to include events running through to the end of October, and even one in November! Read on and pick the one you most want to visit!

Rounds Ranch, Elmvale, ON

This fair could be a bit of a drive depending on where you live, but it's worth it to help you get into that fall spirit! Enjoy wagon rides, goofy pumpkin-themed games, corn mazes, farm animals, and a Western playground! Each guest can visit the large pumpkin patch and pick their own pumpkin to take home.

The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair

Exhibition Place, 100 Princes' Boulevard, Toronto, ON

Did you know that The Royal Agricultural Winter Fair is the largest combined indoor agricultural fair and international equestrian competition in the world? Visitors can check out the Royal Horse Show, rodeo shows, agricultural competitions, and kids will love the K-9 Equine Challenge, where each athlete and their horse is paired with a SuperDog for a fast and fun competitive challenge!

Sugar Plum Fair Craft Show and Sale
November 11–12, 2023
Nottawasaga Inn & Resort, Alliston, ON

I know, I know, it’s still only autumn, and this event is technically a holiday event. However, even if you’re not quite ready to think about the holidays just yet, this is a great place to pick up some early gifts. With over 100 exhibitors, you can check out pottery and ceramics, wood carvings, candles, wreaths and ornaments, and foodstuffs like jams, chocolates, and fudge.

Pumpkins After Dark
September 23–October 31, 2023
Country Heritage Park, Milton, ON

Pumpkins After Dark is Canada’s award-winning outdoor Halloween event! Featuring over 10,000+ hand-carved pumpkins, this one-of-a-kind walk-through experience is the must-see event of the fall season. Check out themed photo op spots, live pumpkin carving demonstrations, and new this year, bring your pets on the last three Wednesdays of October!

Fall Fun at Applewood Farm
September 2–October 29, 2023
Applewood Farm, Stouffville, ON

Applewood Farm was once one of Stouffville’s pioneering pick-your-own strawberry and apple farms. Now it spans 32 acres of apple orchards and 5 acres dedicated to strawberry cultivation! Visitors can take part in a variety of activities including fruit picking, wagon rides, a corn maze, and choosing the perfect pumpkin in the pumpkin patch (admission includes the PYO pumpkin!). The farm also has activities such as farm animal visits, a playground, and a farm market.

PumpkinFest
September 23–October 31, 2023
Downey’s Farm, Brampton, ON

This fall event has it all! You’ve got your usual fall fair activities such as visiting with farm animals, wagon rides, a farm market, a corn maze, and puppet shows, but you’ve also got some more unusual fun activities, such as duck races, a tricycle track, jumping pillows, and a pedal cart track! There’s live entertainment (including magicians and fire juggling) on the weekends, so check out the website for more details!

Plus, if you miss the fall fun, Downey’s also hosts a Christmas at the Farm event, so that’s definitely worth a visit as well!
