Our editing services
We can provide substantive editing in the early stages of your writing project. We provide writing advice to help you reshape your manuscript’s content for flow and clarity, and we make suggestions for strengthening the substance of your work. We do so with great care so as not to disturb your writer’s voice and to respect the meaning of your content.
Once the manuscript is in its final draft, we can provide copy editing and proofreading services. At this stage, we ensure that your grammar, spelling, and punctuation are in good order and that your table of contents lines up with your chapter headings. We want to ensure as polished a final draft as possible.
We also provide copyright and permissions if you are looking to reprint excerpts from already published materials in your work.
Whether you work with us from the very beginning of your project or bring us on board to copy edit your final draft, we provide supportive editorial feedback. If we come on board at the very early stages, the substantive editing process will include one-on-one meetings with your TEC editor. If there is one thing authors need while writing, it is supportive conversation.
