Welcome! This is the official blog of The Editing Company.
The Editing Company team delivers high-quality editorial services to publishers, businesses, associations, and authors. Our specialties include proofreading, copy editing, and structural editing. We also handle copyright permissions and photo research. We work on fiction and non-fiction books, academic books and journals, anthologies, festival guides, educational texts, and business materials.
Here’s who we are:
Beth McAuley, our Senior Editor, has over 25 years of editorial and permissions experience. Her expertise ranges from academic to trade non-fiction to professional business communications. While she’s a natural-born editor, she loves to write. You’ll be hearing from her on this blog.
Shealah Stratton, our Academic Editor, knows her way around a complex academic manuscript. Shealah holds an MA in Medieval Studies, and has excelled in copy editing, technical writing, and publishing courses from the Chang School at Ryerson. Shealah is our Blog Co-ordinator and our future Webmaster. She’ll also follow you on Twitter.
Nadine Bachan, our Permissions Editor and Fiction/e-Book Co-ordinator, is always eager to read that next great work of literature. In addition to permissions, Nadine works on writing projects and fiction editing. She’ll be your source for news on the literary front and technological trends in publishing.
