What's Up @ TEC

Published at 2010-12-31

An apology to our readers! We know we are late in posting a blog. In fact, we are seriously out of sync. We have reasons for falling so behind, and we have a new schedule in place to help keep us on top of our postings. You’ll be hearing from us more regularly in the coming months. In the meantime, here’s what we’ve been up to since we last wrote to you.

Settling In
We moved into our new offices in November. Since then, we have been settling in to our new digs, which we are enjoying so much. It’s a quiet space and our office has two windows, one of which has a southern exposure. We see trees and sky and shifting light throughout the day. We’ve unpacked and set up our work spaces. Our phones are up and running and our e-mail is flowing. Plus, we added a new computer and upgraded our software.

New Staff
TEC is pleased that Nina Hoeschele has joined our team as our academic and non-fiction editor. Nina is a graduate of Dalhousie University and is completing her publishing certificate at Ryerson University. She is already hard at work on several academic manuscripts.

Paul Eprile has joined our team to handle our marketing and communications. Paul comes to TEC with a dynamic background in book publishing, marketing, and editing. He looks forward to promoting TEC’s services.

New Clients
We are proud to announce that Barbara Fish, Personal & Career Counsellor, has officially signed on to our Writers Support Package. In her recent newsletter, Barbara writes that "Beth McAuley and Nadine Bachan are wonderfully talented and supportive individuals who care deeply about their work and that of the clients they are assisting." To read her newsletter, please visit http://home.ezezine.com/1179_2/1179_2-2010.12.15.15.17.archive.html.

We are equally pleased to report that we recently completed two proofreading projects for another of our new clients, John Wiley & Sons Canada. Working with Adobe Pro, we proofread the electronic files of a fiction novel and a non-fiction trade book, meeting both deadlines.

TEC is pleased to offer this new and exciting electronic proofreading and editing service to all of our clients.

Holiday Break
We all took some much appreciated down time over the holidays and we hope you have, too. Enjoy the coming celebrations for the New Year.

Wishing everyone much success in 2011!
