Project: Prisoners of Hope: Motivational Conversations to Help You Achieve Your Dreams (FriesenPress, 2025)
What holds you back from your dreams? Surrounded by daily negative messaging in our lives, we hold ourselves back by the fear that surrounds us, leaning into our hopes for a better future without taking the necessary steps to make those hopes a reality. Prisoners of Hope prepares us for the journey into ourselves as we shed layers of past negativity to grasp our dreams.
Taking us through examples of the challenges in life, author Salvador S. Erazo teaches us how to listen to our inner callings and find the passion in our lives that drives us to become better versions of ourselves. Through goal setting, lessons learned, and ultimately taking that first step into a new beyond, Prisoners of Hope offers us a guiding hand as we consciously face our fears to welcome our new lives.
Service: This is a project that took several years to complete—from idea to final publication. TEC editors Beth McAuley and Lesley-Anne Longo worked closely with the author during many revisions of the manuscript to help him develop a final draft. Once the final draft was in place, Beth provided a careful copyedit for flow and clarity, working with the author to improve the content and narrative. Beth provided consulting support at the outset to help the author during the first stages of publication with FriesenPress. The author then worked with the press through the publishing stages and, in 2025, both the English edition and a Spanish translation entitled Prisioneros de la Esperanza were published. The author’s vision and dedication plus TEC’s ongoing support drove this book to completion. For more information, visit FriesenPress.
